ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM:LIHEAP: WEEOC EXPERIENCED A SUCCESSFUL YEAR. OUR STAFF REMIANED EMPLOYED THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER MONTHS DUE TO THE RECERTIFICATION OF PIPP CLIENTS. DURING THE PROGRAM YEAR WE SPENT $2,512,395 AND ASSISTED 3,535 HOUSEHOLD OUT OF 4,141 HOUSEHOLDS THAT APPLIED. WE SERVIED 26 HOUSEHOLDS WITH THE FURANCE ASSISTANCE COMPONENT SPENDING $96,530. WE APPLIED FOR AND RECEIVED A GRANT FROM AMEREN FOR $22,000 TO HELP WITH ELDERLY, DISABLED, VETERANS, AND HOUSEHOLDS IN CRISIS. WE MAINLY USE THESE DOLLARS TO ASSIST WITH DISCONNECTIONS. PIPP: WEEOC BEGAN THE PROGRAM YEAR WITH 427 ENROLLED PARTICIPANTS AND HAD 68 DROP FOR VARIOUS REASONS. WE ENDED THE YEAR WITH 359. WE OBLIGATED $44,918 OF STATE BENEFITS DURING THE YEAR. WE WILL BE OPENING UP THE ROSTER FOR NEW PARTICIPANTS IN THE NEXT PROGRAM YEAR. WEATHERIZATION:PROGRAM YEAR 2019 WAS THE BEGINNING OF RESTORING OUR PROGRAM. WHILE WE STILL OUTSOURCED THE WORK TO BCMW, WE HIRED A FORMER EMPLOYEE BACK TO WORK AS AN ASSESSOR AND EVENTUALY TO BECOME THE COORDINATOR. JASON KESSEL WENT THROUGH ALL THE TRAINING AND RECEIVED ALL CERTIFICATION MANDATED FROM THE STATE AND FEDERAL DEPARTMENTS. HE WAS PROMOTED TO ASSISTANT COORIDNATOR AND IS TAKING CHARGE OF THE PROCUREMENT IN ORDER FOR US TO REESTABLISH FULL MANAGEMENT OF THE PROGRAM. WE WILL BE HIRING A NEW ASSESSOR IN THE NEAR FUTURE. WE CONCLUDED THE YEAR WITH 45 COMPLETED HOMES AND SPENT $593,640.24.
