The center provides vital services and support to the blind and visually impaired by providing them with independent living skills, helping to optimize individuals' opportunities to lead an independent life.

Support to the blind and visually impaired, which included 1047 meals prepared and served to patrons. In addition, a food pantry is available to the patrons, many whose income is below the poverty level. 1376 transports were provided using the center's vehicles. 197 patron participation in field trips. Patrons are assisted in obtaining independent living aids. A monthly newsletter is published in braille, large print, and digital media. The newsletter is distributed to patrons and friends to communicate vital support services, events, and news of interest to the blind and visually impaired.
