CELEBRATING ITS LANDMARK 30TH ANNIVERSARY IN 2019, THE CHICAGO HUMANITIES FESTIVAL (THE FESTIVAL) IS COMMITTED TO PROGRAMMING THAT ADDRESSES THE MOST CHALLENGING CONVERSATIONS, DEBATES, AND IDEAS IN AMERICAN SOCIETY, AND CONTRIBUTES TO THE QUALITY AND RANGE OF OUR CIVIC AND CULTURAL DISCOURSE. THE FESTIVAL FEATURES INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS AT THE HEART OF THESE CRITICAL CONVERSATIONS, INCLUDING AUTHORS, ARTISTS, ACADEMICS, JOURNALISTS, POLICY MAKERS, AND OTHER THINKERS SHAPING OUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORLD. OVER THE COURSE OF ITS 30-YEAR HISTORY, THE FESTIVAL HAS PRESENTED 3,000+ FESTIVAL PROGRAMS AND 4,000+ PRESENTERS, AMONG THEM 12 NOBEL LAUREATES AND 70+ PULITZER-PRIZE WINNERS. THE OPPORTUNITY TO ENGAGE WITH EXCELLENT THINKERS, AND FULLY EXPLORE A WIDE RANGE OF NEW AND LONG-STANDING IDEAS FROM MULTIPLE PERSPECTIVES, IS A HALLMARK OF THE FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE.
