Mission

Corner of Love is a growing international mission dedicated to serving refugees and migrants who are resettling in Central and South America. Since 1992 we have been helping impoverished families by bringing healthcare and clean water to remote areas where many drink contaminated water and lack basic needs like medical and dental care, clothing and shoes. At our Relief Center for Refugees(Costa Rica) and throughout Latin America we employ native coordinators in numerous border cities we serve more than 30,000 displaced individuals each year by providing medicine, emergency food, transportation assistance, and hot meals at our restaurant run by refugees, called Hero’s Kitchen.

About

DONATED MEDICAL SUPPLIES: In 2018, Corner of Love sourced meds from a record number of donors throughout the U.S. bringing more than 9 tons (18,000 lbs) of misc. provisions and equipment, antibiotics, vitamins, parasite treatments, and other medications to Latin America. These lifesaving items came from supply drives, grants, and supporting churches in states across the country where Corner of Love team members actively volunteered to collect medicine, clothing, shoes, eyeglasses, educational materials, and badly needed basic goods. Prior to 2018, our organization had only worked in Nicaragua, In April 2018, we were forced to branch out into other Central American countries when a socio-political crisis broke out in Nicaragua and violent paramilitary groups occupied the northern region where our headquarters were located. The crisis caused thousands of Nicaraguans to flee the brutal crackdown of the Ortega regime. In August 2018, we moved our entire set-up to Peas Blancas, Costa Rica where we began tending to the urgent needs of refugees crossing the border. All the cargo collected, valued at $1,344,560USD, was transported via air by 11 volunteer medical groups to Nicaragua and Costa Rica and then distributed in the name of Jesus. Records kept from mobile clinics showed 10,770 Nicaraguans served in 2018 each received, on average, $124.84USD worth of these donated supplies.
