In October 2018, CINESTORY held its annual Feature Retreat at Idyllwild, CA with 29 emerging screenwriters chosen from the annual Feature Fellowship contest. The four-day event had multiple panels and workshops led by 25 leading film and TV industry professionals. In March 2019, CINESTORY held its annual TV Retreat at Idyllwild, CA with 32 emerging screenwriters chosen from the annual TV Fellowship contest.
