About this organization
Mission
The District 214 Education Foundation provides funding, secures resources and promotes partnerships that support student success, innovation and lifelong learning beyond the means of conventional public funding.
About
Through a generous grant from the Joyce Foundation, the District 214 Education empowered the continued expansion of District 214's unique Career Pathways program -- one that a Joyce representative has said he considers a model for the nation. There was a particular focus on information technology and health sciences. Our Career Pathways program provides a clear path for District 214 students from high school coursework to college to careers, with opportunities for early college credit, internships and career credentials before they leave high school. College and career pathways like these transform the high school experience by making it even more relevant to our students as we prepare them for career in an ever-changing 21st century.
