Our mission is to identify, preserve and enhance the natural, historical, and cultural assets of Lincoln Park through restoration, management, advocacy and stewardship to benefit the park, the public, and the environment while providing opportunities for education and community involvement.

Education/Volunteer Programs - 1) North Pond Gardeners/Lincoln Park Tree Care Corps/Corporate Workday Program: Train and manage corps of 950 volunteers to plant wildflowers, seed, identify and remove invasive species, prune and mulch trees/shrubs, maintain native plants in urban prairies, woodlands and wetlands, and educate them on the importance of native plants and animals to our environment and regional history. Volunteers contributed over 2,000 service hours to the program in 2018, added over 5,000 native plants & trees, and mulched 1,500 park trees. 2) Lincoln Park Docents: Train and manage 101 volunteer docents to educate the public about the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool, a historic landmark, Lincoln Park Observatory, and other Lincoln Park assets. Over 100 docents contributed 2,300 service hours to the program in 2018.
