mujeres is a bilingual/bicultural agency seeking to empower latinas, their families and youth to become self reliant, to take full advantage of available opportunities, and to create new opportunities to improve the quality of their lives. in pursuit of this mission, mujeres 1) provides comprehensive services that help women explore choices, make informed decisions, develop self esteem, and enhance daily living and problem-solving skills; and 2) undertakes policy analysis and advocacy efforts with and on behalf of latinas. mujeres latinas en accion maintains three facilities: 1. pilsen hq serving the chicago metro area 2. pilsen all youth facility serving youth from chicago 3. north riverside serving primarily clients from chicago's western suburbs
