We have been responsibly and compassionately protecting, advocating and educating for animal welfare since 1956. MCHA is dedicated to promoting the welfare of animals, strengthening the human-animal bond, and providing access to humane education across our community. To accomplish our mission, we: Provide humane education that reaches youth and adults across the community; Offer direct low-cost veterinary services to help animals and animal owners; Offer veterinary assistance funding for prevention of unwanted litters and extreme injury; Coordinate dog-handler volunteer therapy teams to share the benefits of the human-animal bond; Coordinate TNR assistance for caretakers of feral or outdoor cats Offer a free pet food and supply pantry for low-income Monroe County residents

MCHA IS A DIRECT SERVICE PROVIDER FOR ACCESSIBLE VETERINARY SERVICES, ANIMAL CARE RESOURCES, HUMANE EDUCATION, AND A LEADING ANIMAL WELFARE ADVOCATE FOR OUR COMMUNITY.
