In 2018, Indiana Organ Procurement Organization d.b.a. Indiana Donor Network facilitated 178 organ donors resulting in 634 organs transplanted. (The organs transplanted do not represent the total number of people who received a transplant because some patients receive more than one organ.) We also facilitated 1,547 tissue donors. Indiana Donor Networks Driven2SaveLives campaign generated more than $4.3 million in earned media advertising equivalency via media outreach, 15,028 unique visitors to driven2savelives.org, more than 33,100 interactions on social media and registered 264 new organ, eye and tissue donors. In other activities, an additional 1.5 million people were reached via mass media at sponsorship events by utilizing public service announcements and video board messaging. In addition, the organizations website had nearly 114,258 unique visitors searching for information about donation and transplantation. Trained volunteers contributed more than 7,200 hours of service, sharing our key message points with 23,438 adults and 16,272 students throughout the state at community and school events. Public outreach efforts have contributed to more than 3.90 million registered donors in Indiana as of the end of 2018.
