About

The Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County served over 1,100 children in the community in 2018. The Club serves children from kindergarten through high school in three different locations in St. Joseph County. Our three school sites are located in elementary schools in the South Bend Community School Corporation. Our flagship location, the O.C. Carmichael Jr. Youth Center serves children from over 40 schools in the area. Each afternoon, the Boys & Girls Club sees approximately 500 children walk through the doors. Each Member is given a healthy snack or meal, every day of the week. In addition to a healthy snack, Members are encouraged to engage in a variety of programs and activities that if it were not for the Club, they would not be able to experience. Some of the most popular activities at the Club include partnership with the University of Notre Dame as well as a variety of community organizations that provide talented and energetic volunteers to engage with our Members on a daily basis. The Club has been a staple in St. Joseph County for over 40 years and looks forward to continuing to carry out its mission for years to come.
