Mission

EAP is a local non-profit organization that owns and operates the Zoar Wetland in Zoar (Tuscarawas County) Ohio. The Wetland is an 82-acre nature park with nearly 2 miles of walking trails surrounding the 30-acre deep water marsh. Our mission is to interpret the history and natural features of the Zoar Wetland through education and recreation. It is a trail link between the Historic Village of Zoar and the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail. The wetland is maintained with the help of all volunteers and donated money and material.

About

In 2019 we continued improving the location of the pavilion to enhance the visitors experience. We received contributions to have an iron railing custom built and installed at the pavilion to safely guide visitors down stone steps to access the shoreline behind the pavilion. The design of the railing mirrors the design of the iron gate installed at the vaulted wine cellar.
