The mission of the Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) is to promote artistically and culturally significant film arts through education and exhibition to enrich the life of the community. In other words, the CIFF presents the newest and best films from around the world and does everything in its power to make sure our audience learns something along the way — about our own community, about other cultures, about the topic at hand, and about the experience from the filmmakers themselves.

The Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) presents the newest and best films from around the world and does everything in its power to make sure the audience learns something along the way - about the Cleveland community, other cultures, the topic at hand, and the experience from the filmmakers themselves. The 43rd CIFF welcomed 105,839 attendees, who viewed 213 feature films and 237 short films from 71 countries of origin. Of these attendees, 11,087 were students (grades 5-12) who participated in our Filmslam educational program. Over 400 visiting filmmakers were present for their screenings. Our community engagement program included 161 other non-profit organizations from Northeast Ohio. This program builds and strengthens partnerships with other nonprofits by (continued on schedule O) connecting them to films in the festival that line up with the organizations' missions.
