The Akron Civic Theatre, an historical and vibrant nonprofit cultural arts center in downtown Akron, enriches the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds throughout the region by presenting a diverse array of local and national performing artists and community events. In FY18, the Akron Civic Theatre hosted 183 public events and 8 tours. The theater was in use an additional 48 days for event load-in, rehearsal and load-out. Attendance at FY 2018 events was 130,701, and 131 dedicated volunteers gave 7,590 hours to greet and assist patrons. Through our All Access program, we distributed 9,941 free tickets to economically disadvantaged families and senior citizens served by our partner social service agencies for concerts, family shows, musicals and special events.

The operation of the Community Hall Foundation dba Akron Civic Theatre includes presentations of live music (jazz, blues, folk), dance (ballet, contemporary), theater (All-City Musical) and occasionally film.
