During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019 SDCC provided choral training to more than 983 children,from Pre-K through 12th grade,in the greater San Diego area in diverse socioeconomic communities. The choral ensemble training program includes specific voice training, familiarity with classical and traditional music, social skills, family and community values including exposure to other countries and cultures. Introductory and outreach programs are provided to children in grades Pre-K to 5.Since 1993, the San Diego Childrens Choir has toured both nationally and internationally. In 2019, the choir toured Denver, Colorado and participated in the 2019 sing a mile high childrens choral festival.The San Diego Childrens Choir is a vital part of the arts community throughout the region, frequently joining with other organizations in collaborative concert programs and events.
