About

Festival Ballet Theatre presented four productions a year at two venues, the Irvine Barclay Theatre and Renee and Henry Segerstom Concert Hall, as 1. Two full-length classical ballet performances in the spring. 2. Fifteen performances of the Nutcracker in December. 3. Two performances of classical and contemporary pieces in the fall. 4. One performance of the Orange County Ballet Festival Gala of the Stars in August. FBT has worked in collaboration with the top ballet companies in the United States by inviting guest artists to perform in their productions. FTB presented abridged performances at local elementary schools and in collaboration with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, Festival of Children, Arts OC, and Imagination Celebration along with other various Orange County Community events. Special outreach programs, including many free performances for the public, were conducted where FBT presented narrated ballet productions suitable for children, both by visiting the schools and inviting over 30 schools in the area to the theater. FBT showcased the talents of young dancers while building cultural awareness and providing education in the area of classical and contemporary ballet.
