Youth and family services - program services of the Family Center on Deafness (FCD) are based on the current needs of the target population and may include parent/infant activities, a before/after-school program, teen enrichment and leadership activities, literacy activities, sign language instruction, a community resource library, a transition program for young adults, family support through case management, advocacy, and referral to other organizations and agencies. The Family Center on Deafness, through a contract with the Florida Department of Education-Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, provides employment training (continued on schedule O) placement and follow-up for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Services are provided by trained employment counselors at the agency's main office and in the community.
