Mission

Minds Matter of NYC transforms the lives of accomplished students from low-income families by broadening their dreams and preparing them for college success. Despite the challenges low-income students often face, they are capable of extraordinary success when given access to our programs which include mentorship, writing instruction, SAT test prep, and summer programs. Since 1991, Minds Matter has steadily grown in size and impact, delivering impressive results for more students every year-- including a consistent 100% college enrollment rate. Today, we serve 180 students in grades 10-12 from under-resourced communities and engage over 500 volunteers in delivering our mission to prepare low-income students for college success.
