Rachel Longstreet Foundation founded the Jessye Norman School of the Arts, an after-school program that provides middle and high school students with an opportunity for concentrated study of the fine arts. The mission of the JNSA is to provide professional quality fine arts instruction for gifted and talented children who are economically challenged. The school opened in September 2003.
