Rachel's Network promotes women as impassioned leaders and agents of change dedicated to the stewardship of the earth.

About

NETWORKING & EDUCATION PROGRAMS - RACHEL'S NETWORK SEEKS TO DEVELOP A STRATEGIC NETWORK THAT PROMOTES COLLECTIVE ACTION AND UNIFIES THE VOICES OF WOMEN COMMITTED TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION. RACHEL'S NETWORK ORGANIZED TWO MEMBER EVENTS, OUR ANNUAL MEETING AND FALL RETREAT, AS WELL AS REGIONAL AND ONLINE EVENTS. DURING THESE EVENTS, MEMBERS LEARNED FROM EXPERTS ABOUT INTERRELATED CHALLENGES TO THE ENVIRONMENT, HUMAN AND ECOSYSTEM HEALTH, AND COMMUNITY WELL-BEING ACROSS A WIDE RANGE OF TOPICS, AS WELL AS PROGRAMS WORKING TO MITIGATE THESE CIRCUMSTANCES. OUR MEETINGS AND EVENTS ALSO INFORMED MEMBERS ABOUT CHANGES AND DEVELOPMENTS IN THE WORLD OF PHILANTHROPY AND WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP. THESE FORUMS PROVIDED MEMBERS WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO NETWORK, BUILD CONNECTIONS BETWEEN LIKE-MINDED INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS, AND DEFINE NEW AREAS OF INTEREST FOR FUNDING. OUR MEMBER COMMUNICATIONS - AN ANNUAL REPORT, BIANNUAL NEWSLETTERS, AND WEEKLY E-DIGEST - ALSO SUPPORTED THESE EFFORTS, HIGHLIGHTED RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS, AND PROMOTED MEMBERS' INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS. WE DESIGNED, PRINTED, AND DISTRIBUTED A NEW MEMBER DIRECTORY TO SUPPORT MEMBERS' NETWORKING AND LEADERSHIP. MEMBERS MADE USE OF OUR PRIVATE LISTSERVS FOR ONGOING SHARING OF IDEAS AND DIALOGUE ON TOPICS OF INTEREST. WE COLLECTED, PUBLISHED, AND DISTRIBUTED INFORMATION ON WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP AND THE ENVIRONMENT. WE ACTED AS A FISCAL SPONSOR FOR MEMBERS' INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS, AND CONNECTED MEMBERS WITH BOARD LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AT ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS. WE ENGAGED WITH OUR MEMBERS BOTH COLLECTIVELY AND ONE-ON-ONE TO SUPPORT THEIR DEVELOPMENT AS ENGAGED ENVIRONMENTAL PHILANTHROPISTS.
