Mission

Fresh thinking and bold action for animals, people, and the place we call home.

About

Wildlife Crime: The illegal trade in live animals and animal products is among the most inhumane and detrimental threats to their survival. Wildlife species - many of which are already threatened by economic development activities and climate change - are increasingly victims of illegal wildlife trade. By breaking every link in the criminal trade chain, we are making the world safer for animals and people. We're decreasing the supply of illegal wildlife products by working with local communities and park rangers to stop poaching at its source, we engage with governments and the private sector to disrupt global trafficking networks, and we're curbing the demand for illegal wildlife products through raising consumer awareness and changing their behavior. We advocate for the strongest possible global, regional, national and local legislation and policies to protect individual wild animals, populations, and their habitats. We work on the ground with government and local community members to provide training, coaching, mentorship, infrastructure, equipment and other resources to prevent wildlife crime.
