Mission

The Dublin Food Pantry (DFP) is dedicated to providing for the needs of hungry people by collecting and distributing food and grocery products, educating the community about hunger and collaborating with others who address basic human needs. The goal of the DFP is to ensure that nobody in Dublin goes hungry - ever. At a time when the federal government is curtailing its commitment to providing supplemental nutrition assistance through the SNAP program, the DFP is as dedicated as ever to providing for the needs of our hungry neighbors. As part of its strategic plan, the DFP is challenging itself to create a strong and stable organization that is able to build support for its mission in the community, ensure its long-term sustainability and meet the needs of a changing client base. At the same time, we remain dedicated to our core belief that all individuals seeking assistance be treated with respect and compassion, that we engage with our community partners and will collaborate with them whenever possible. We are sustained by dedicated volunteers and generous donors. Our goal is to translate this generosity into meaningful and timely assistance.
