Icadv works for the prevention and elimination of domestic violence - until the violence ends. Icadv works to eliminate domestic violence through the implementation of prevention programs and public awareness in communities and schools, through advocacy for system change, and through the influencing of public policy and allocation of resources.

Prevention and awareness: ICADV lead the way in primary prevention. Presenting at national conferences and training over 1,000 advocates; developed and disseminated over 270 prevention storybooks; collected data from Indiana youth to develop new violence prevention strategies centered in increasing safety, stability and nurturance for all Hoosier children; worked to generate new prevention strategies and disseminate programmatic learnings with local, state and national partners. Additionally, ICADV communicated news and educational information to the public thru enewsletters, website, social media, events, awareness campaigns and brochures.
