East Allen Family Resource Center impacted the lives of 252 children and youth in grades pre-school (age 3) through 8th grade (age 13) through before school, after-school and summer programs. These children benefited from 18,029 staff hours. 87% of participants improved or maintained (C+ or better) their academic performance in both math and reading. Students participating in the afterschool program at New Haven Intermediate scored 10% higher on both the math and reading portions of the 2018 ISTEP and 3.7% higher at Heritage Elementary. In addition, East Allen Family Resource Center served 5,152 free summer meals to children and youth in the New Haven and Monroeville area at four (4) different locations and served 16,261 free nutritional snacks during its afterschool program.
