Goal Line: The Goal Line program provides transportation services and high-quality afterschool programming to K-8 students that attend 14 partner public charter and district schools in Northwest Detroit. In the 2018-19 school year, Goal Line served 219 students in its afterschool program and 634 students with bus service. In student surveys, 77% of student respondents reported that 'in the program, they learn school subjects in fun ways- and 76% reported that 'at this program, staff care about me- and that 'I feel safe in this program.' 66% of student respondents reported that they 'feel like I belong when I am at this after-school program.' Goal Line's program also helped to retain Detroit families in local schools. In a family survey, 42% of respondents reported that Goal Line was a factor in school choice for the 2018-19 school year. Of families that reported that they considered leaving Detroit for the '18-19 school year, 49% decided to stay in part because of the Goal Line.
