ANGEL HOUSE ORPHANAGE7 YEARS AFTER REOPENING, A TOTAL OF 24 CHILDREN HAVE GONE HOME. UP TO 50% OF THE CHILDREN AT AHO HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS RANGING FROM ISSUES WITH SIGHT, MOTOR SKILLS, AND OTHER DEVELOPMENT CHALLENGES. STAFF CONTINUED WITH EDUCATION IN ATTACHMENT TECHNIQUES. THERE ARE CURRENTLY 13 CHILDREN AT AHO.THREE ANGELS CHRISTIAN ACADEMYTHE SCHOOL HAS EDUCATED 315 STUDENTS FROM PRESCHOOL THROUGH 6TH GRADE THIS SCHOOL YEAR. STUDENT PERFORMANCE CONTINUED TO EXCEL; PASSING GRADES FOR STUDENTS WON'T BE COMPLETE UNTIL GRADUATION IN JUNE. THE SECONDARY SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM EXTENDED TO 45 STUDENTS WHO ATTENDED PARTNERING SCHOOLS, AND WE HAD OUR FOURTH GENERATION OF STUDENTS GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL IN JUNE. TO SUPPORT THIS PROGRAM, OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM CONTINUED TO FLOURISH WITH MOST OF THE STUDENTS RECEIVING SPONSORSHIPS. ALTHOUGH FOOD PRICES HAVE INCREASED DRAMATICALLY IN HAITI, WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE HOT MEALS FOR 350+ PEOPLE EACH SCHOOL DAY AT TACA.MEDICAL CLINICOVER THE LAST YEAR, OUR CLINIC HAD OVER 3,000 PATIENT VISITS. WE DID WELL-CHILD EXAMS ON OUR SCHOOL CHILDREN AND EMPLOYEE HEALTH SCREENINGS FOR OUR STAFF. ALL 315 STUDENTS RECEIVE DAILY MULTI VITAMINS THANKS TO OUR VITAMIN PROGRAM. OUR MONTHLY COMMUNITY HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM CLASSES WERE OFFERED ON A VARIETY OF HEALTH AND PREVENTATIVE CARE ISSUES. WE PROVIDED MEDICAL CARE, INCLUDING SEMI-ANNUAL ANTI-PARASITIC MEDICATIONS FOR OUR SCHOOL CHILDREN AND ORPHANS.
