About

Intensive design and field training course: often referred to as boot camp, this 5-day, 4-night 10+ hour per day class teaches the next generation of landscape lighting professionals and changes their professional lives. The course includes lectures, demonstrations, and the course project where teams design, install, and present to the public a full-scale landscape lighting mockup. ILLI has equipment from 51 manufactures providing the course attendees with a broad experience with lamps and fixtures available on the market to help them become familiar with how both light and fixtures work. This course began in the 1980s at UC Berkeley, was taught at Rutgers and RPIS LRC. Shorter introduction course that could be offered at multiple locations. We are also working on a new reception and classroom building, as our current facilities have become too restricting.
