PWR!GYM and REHAB/THERAPY----The PWR!Gym is a model community wellness center in Tucson, Arizona, USA, where those living with Parkinson disease Exercise4BrainChange. Each member receives a 90-minute evaluation with a physical therapist at enrollment to determine which of three (3) levels of exercise therapy is most appropriate for their current level of ability, and are monitored throughout membership to determine if a change in therapy level is warranted. Enrichment classes such as singing, tai chi, and tango, enhance the PWR!Moves methodology. One-on-one therapy sessions provide individualized training and support. Therapy services available to members and non-members through self pay and through insurance coverage. Over 150 members came to the gym up to 3 times per week for classes, and over 1,200 rehab services were provided to clients, some of whom travel to Tucson specifically for these services.
