Mission

Transforming lives of those impacted by incarceration with compassionate education.

About

Five pathways to freedom prison workshops were held in three Californian prisons (Valley State Prison, Central California Women's Facility and California Institute for Women). We worked with both the male and female populations. FTC workshops teach communication skills, relationship skills, and also work at the emotional level, offering a specific skill set to heal the underpinnings of anger and release patterns of behavior that undermine a healthy and balanced life. The workshops were presented simultaneously in English and Spanish. We worked with 701 inmates in 2018. 338 volunteers traveled from all over the country, donating over 5,400 hours to participate at their own expense.
