Every Tuesday: volunteers meet to sack food for the food pantry, including student groups from Texas A&M, community groups, Sunday School classes and many individuals.Every Thursday: The food pantry serves 60-120 households each week. Volunteers are from local churches, student groups and community organizations. Items distributed includes canned goods and fresh produce.The Free Medical clinic was held at The Bridge on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays every month for the first half of the year. Five or more doctors and many nurses as well as other volunteers came to help. Prayer volunteers prayed for and with the clients that came. The clinic saw around 35-40 patients every week. Volunteers included nursing students, as well as pre-med and other students from Texas A&M and Blinn College. Sowers meet on Monday & Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. in the spring months to hold a childrens ministry. About 15 volunteers help students with their homework, teach them a Bible lesson, and play with them. Spirit of Christmas - Volunteers visited local senior centers, nursing homes, and the home bound to distribute blankets, toiletries, and other small gifts. More importantly, volunteers gave their time and shared Christ with those visited.
