Mission

To foster national and international amateur competitive sailing opportunities for sailors with physical disabilities and help them achieve their individual goals in sailing through world-class coaching and competition.

About

In 2019, The Clagett Regatta hired 4 coaches to coach 30 sailors in 3 classes of boats. There were 50 on water volunteers handling the race committee and safety/medical positions. There were 5 members of the Jury who spent time on the water and additional coaches and speakers who gave numerous on-land clinic talks. The Clagett consisted of 2 clinic days and 3 days of racing. The 2.4mR class raced 10 races, the Martin 16 class raced 9 races and the Sonar class raced 10 races during the event. Lunch, dinner, beverages and snacks were supplied to all of the sailors, regatta officials and regatta committee members over the 5 day event.
