About this organization
Mission
To assist Jackson County residents to productive careers through the pursuit of appropriate post-secondary education.
About
The CCAC functions in two primary arenas with a team of full-time career advisors: at the center, which is a central location open to the community that provides free on-site advising 6 days a week, and out in the 13 connected community school districts. Advisors are housed in the districts to provide 1:1 advising for seniors post secondary career plans. Post- secondary career plans include the skilled trades, apprenticeships, traditional 2-4 year degrees, military, or going straight to work at a position that offers a valuable credential. Advisors work with clients on completing college and skilled trade applications, FAFSA, scholarship applications, and loan applications. Additional career preparation includes career assessments, resume/cover letter writing, interview/soft skills, and job search.
