About this organization
Mission
Promote and support ice sports with an emphasis on youth.
About
We continue to drastically reduce/eliminate the burden on local government to provide public indoor ice facilities. Private contributions funded more than 85% of the project initially, and our operations are 100% self-sufficient, receiving $0 in government subsidies. We directly serve local non-profit youth associations as well as individual members of the public. We provided 6000+ hours of ice rental time to local clubs, youth organizations and public events in 2018. We have served 39,000+ members of the public during regularly-scheduled open skate sessions. We regularly provide physical education programs to the local home schooling group as well as facilities for group outings for churches, schools and other institutions. The availability of ice time has also allowed for a new sled hockey program for the disabled as well as a curling association, further expanding opportunities in our community.
