Concert repertoire included both classical and modern works. Highlights of the season included: a celebration of the life and work of Leonard Bernstein; a world premiere which fulfilled the WMC's mission of broadening the choral canon; performance of a major choral work on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of its creation (Sergei Rachmaninoff's All-Night Vigil); pre-concert lectures commensurate with WMC's mission to present choral music in the context of its cultural time; and WMC's first performances with the National Symphony Orchestra.
