About
This year our rented facility experienced a leak and one of our dance floors was severely damaged. When our landlord would not pay for it to be properly mitigated, we started to look for a permanent place to house our studio. In June, we started negotiations on a commercial property and we purchased the building with the financial assistance of two lenders and from donations. Construction began in December to create two dance classrooms. All That Dance Studio is located in the Greater Bridgeton area and it is located in the poorest county in New Jersey. We offer a scholarship program for students, whose families continue to face hardships, and we continue to work with Bridgeton High School and offer work-study fellowships to high school students. This year our students have had the opportunity to enrich the community by performing in several community events: Alloways Halloween Parade, Hopewells Community Day, Miss Cumberland County Pageant, and in the Miss Americas Show Us Your Shoes Parade. They also presented a holiday show and performed in the studios annual recital. After several years of planning, 21 of our dancers traveled to Florida and they performed at Walt Disney World and attended a dance workshop presented by Disney. They even got to dance with Goofy, on stage! For most of our students this was an once-in-a-lifetime experience!During the summer, we offered dance camps for children at a nominal fee for families who needed a safe place for their children to attend while they worked. We also offered summer dance classes for children to maintain or strength their technique. We continued to honor student achievement in dance and education through the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. We continued our Guest Artists Series and invited master dance teachers and guest performers to teach or present dance workshops for our students throughout the year. All That Dance Studio continues to provide an exceptional dance education program for children and adults.
