About
Northern Spark; A free night-time festival that lights up Minneapolis and Saint Paul each summer. In mid-June, tens of thousands of people gather in sites throughout the cities to explore giant video projections, play in the temporary installations in the streets, and enjoy experimental performances in green spaces. From sunset to early morning the city surprises you; friendly crowds of familiar strangers, glowing groups of cyclists, an unexpected path through urban landscape, the magic of a night of amazing art and experiences. Northern Spark is the arts event people talk about for the rest of the year-and look forward to for the coming year. In the past 9 years of the festival, we have presented 660 artist projects for a total audience of over 324,000.
