About this organization
Mission
Gardenland Mission Inc is dedicated to the rescue and care of feral, abandoned, and in-need animals in our community.
About
Gardenland Mission is a community cat rescue and sanctuary. Newly abandoned cats can be rescued, rehabilitated, and placed for adoption. Feral cats can be trapped, neutered, and returned (TNR'd) to their colonies to help eliminate breeding and reduce the growth rate of the colonies. Gardenland Mission helps local residents and businesses with rescue and TNR services and maintains a sanctuary garden setting for community cats that have no chance of finding forever homes. Gibsonton Florida is a small community with a vast number of homeless cats. They find their way to one of the many community cat colonies. Because most of these cats have never received veterinary services, they breed and produce feral kittens. The Humane Society of Tampa Bay has estimated that Hillsborough County has approximately 200,000 community cats. About 1% or 2,000 are located in Gibsonton.
