Interesting data from their 2018 990 filing
The green mountain conservancy mission is the permanent conservation of a significant wildlands network in windham county, vermont and its surroundings. this network will stretch into most of the towns in the county and connect many areas of core habitat via wildlife road crossings to the green mountain national forest. to help various conservation organizations and the state achieve this goal, gmc offers a land trust, ongoing studies of wildlife needs on the landscape, monitoring of conserved areas as well as advocacy for better conservation laws in the state and an increased awareness of the need for more mature old growth forests. through our projects we will help maintain sustainable populations of bear, moose and bobcat in our area. by providing sufficient habitat for these wide-ranging species, we will also be ensuring that the full suite of the region's flora and fauna can thrive in perpetuity.
