Creation of multiple public educational events to increase understanding and respect for the indigenous cultures of the Northeast. These events included the full snow moon gathering with Aqinnah Wampanoag Elizabeth James-Perry who gave a presentation and workshop about wampum; the day of remembrance of the May 19, 1676 great falls massacre; the Pocumtuck homelands festival, expanded to two days; and the full beaver moon gathering with Mashpee Wampanoag elder Marlene Lopez speaking about and demonstrating traditional finger weaving. Programs developed by all-volunteer board members. We provide compensation for all tribal participants.
