Mission

The Vernon Wells Perfect 10 Charity is a christian, faith-based, 501(c)3 non-profit organization established to support and protect homeless children and single mothers. The charity encourages and equips these individuals toward achievement of self-sufficiency, providing access to basic needs and making opportunities available to enhance the life-skills necessary to break the cycle of poverty.

About

Perfect 10 identifies food-insecure children and gives each child a bag of nutritious food in their backpack at the end of the school week and during holiday breaks. We also seek to provide a bridge between local churches and school-aged children and their families. Our goal is to identify a theologically healthy church within the proximity of the childs school and work with the church to provide a weekly bible-based afterschool-care program using the schools facilities. It is also our goal to provide a one-on-one mentoring relationship throughout the school year for each child in the program. This consistent presence by a christian adult mentor on a weekly basis will encourage each child, demonstrate that they are important, and help the child understand the importance of giving back to their community.
