One Mission programs make living in the hospital less lonely and stressful, bring back joy in a time of fear and uncertainty, and give kids and their loved ones the support they need to get through the emotional and financial challenges of treatment.

ONE MISSION IS A PEDIATRIC CANCER CHARITY THAT DOES WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET KIDS THROUGH CANCER TREATMENT. ONE MISSION PROGRAMS MAKE LIVING IN THE HOSPITAL LESS LONELY AND STRESSFUL, BRING BACK JOY IN A TIME OF FEAR AND UNCERTAINTY, AND GIVE KIDS AND THEIR LOVED ONES THE SUPPORT THEY NEED TO GET THROUGH THE EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL CHALLENGES OF TREATMENT. ONE MISSION HAS OVER 40 VITAL PROGRAMS AND SERVICES AT THREE HOSPITALS (BOSTON CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, THE JIMMY FUND CLINIC AT DANA-FARBER CANCER INSTITUTE AND HASBRO CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL). IN 2018 ALONE, WE ASSISTED 1,000 FAMILIES DURING THEIR BATTLES WITH PEDIATRIC CANCER. SINCE 2009, ONE MISSION HAS RAISED OVER 9 MILLION AND BROUGHT SMILES, COMFORT AND SUPPORT TO OVER 9,000 PATIENTS AND FAMILIES. ONE MISSION PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FALL INTO FIVE CATEGORIES:- SMILE MAKERS: OUR SMILE MAKER PROGRAMS ARE FOCUSED ON BRINGING JOY AND HAPPINESS TO PEDIATRIC CANCER PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES WHILE PROVIDING THEM WITH SOME MUCH-NEEDED RELIEF FROM THE DAILY STRESS AND HARDSHIP OF CANCER. DEC MY ROOM, CINEMA SATURDAYS, AND EVEN UNICORN DAY ARE ALL PROGRAMS THAT ALLOW KIDS TO HAVE FUN AND JUST BE KIDS.- CREATIVE THERAPIES: THESE CREATIVE THERAPIES ARE DESIGNED TO LIFT THE SPIRITS OF PATIENTS, PROMOTE HEALING, AND PROVIDE AN OUTLET FOR EMOTIONAL EXPRESSION AND INCLUDE MUSIC, ART, AND STORYTELLING.- PATIENT AND FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAMS: THESE FAMILY-CENTERED CARE INITIATIVES PROVIDE COMFORT, ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO PATIENTS AND THE FAMILIES WHO CARE SO DEEPLY FOR THEM. CAREGIVER CONNECTION EVENTS LIKE PAINT NIGHTS AND SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE HAVE HELPED PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS STEP OUTSIDE OF THEIR CHILD'S ROOM FOR A MOMENT AND CONNECT WITH OTHER PARENTS WHO CAN UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ARE GOING THROUGH.- RELAXATION & STRESS MANAGEMENT: THESE RELAXATION AND STRESS MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO REDUCE STRESS AND PROMOTE EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL WELL-BEING. MASSAGE AND YOGA HAVE BEEN WELL RECEIVED.- FINANCIAL RELIEF: OUR FINANCIAL RELIEF PROGRAMS HELP TO EASE THE FINANCIAL BURDEN OF PEDIATRIC CANCER ON FAMILIES SO THEY CAN FOCUS ON WHAT'S IMPORTANT - HELPING THEIR CHILD FIGHT CANCER. ASSISTANCE WITH PARKING IS ONE OF THE SINGLE BIGGEST NEEDS, AND ONE MISSION IS ABLE TO PROVIDE 20 PARKING PASSES TO EACH FAMILY. AT ONE MISSION, NOT ONLY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR US TO GUARANTEE THE SUSTAINABILITY OF OUR CURRENT PROGRAMMING, BUT ALSO TO CONTINUE TO ADD NEW PROGRAMS AND SERVICES SO WE CAN TOUCH THE LIVES OF MORE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES, BOTH LOCALLY AND NATIONALLY.
