Bridge Builders Program - Through one-on-one, relationship-based support, over 540 refugee residents worked with 220+ volunteers to achieve their social mobility goals. Over the year, Members submitted 92+ job applications, collectively secured over $384,000 in new income, and reduced household expenses by utilizing over 146 qualifying subsidies or benefits. Members were accompanied by bilingual navigators to 684+ critical appointments like social services appointments, driver's license tests, and domestic violence prevention appointments. 43 members facing potential loss of their homes retained their housing by resolving communications with housing management, reconciling penalties, and renewing contracts. Over 230 youth between the ages of 5 and 17 received free weekly in-home reading, tutoring, and homework help, and their parents received personalized support in making important school-related decisions. In 2019, we welcomed 110 new Members, and 65 new volunteer Navigators.
