Continuing to offer awareness & educational opportunities to the public about the historical & contemporary relevance of first mass removal and exclusion of Japanese-Americans in 1942 through many efforts, including: hosting nearly 30 free tours by volunteer docents, of the memorial site to more than 875 guests from around the nation & world; creating & distributing more than 5000 brochures; maintaining an active internet presence and public presence at community & cultural events; giving speeches & presentations to numerous organizations and other outreach opportunities. While the site does not have permanent onsite staff for monitoring, we conservatively estimate an overall average of 10 visitors per day, or at least 3,500 visitors to the site this year.
