Annual Grants - MSF provides grants to the schools within the Mason City School District. This year, we funded the Innovative Catalyst Project in the amount of $21,000 to support projects that grow mindsets, help students solve real-world problems and invest in maker-spaces. The Kindergarten Launch Pad grant for $21,000 extended the MECC Dream Lab engineering and design process into the Kindergarten classroom setting. The Swiftly STEAMing Ahead grant for $16,126 combined new elementary computer science concepts with design and digital art. Over 20 additional programs were funded including a high school recording studio, virtual reality sets for elementary students and school supplies for all students in need.
