Mission

The Jewish Relief Agency serves over 6,000 diverse low-income individuals across Greater Philadelphia by relieving hunger, improving lives, and strengthening our community.

About

The Jewish Relief Agency mobilizes a network of volunteers to assist a diverse population of individuals and families in need to help relieve hunger, reduce food insecurity, improve lives and strengthen community. Every month JRA volunteers pack and hand-deliver a box of nutritious food to low-income households in the greater Philadelphia area. JRA also provides other supportive services to our recipients including transportation (such as to doctors' appointments) and emergency (assistance such as rent assistance). Some clients receive personal care items such as diapers and toiletries, as well as healthy snacks and food for lunches for families with children. In addition, the JRA Leadership Academy provides young professionals the opportunity to develop and strengthen their leadership skills, while learning about non-profit management and philanthropy.
