Through workshops and community gatherings at our new building on Elsmere and Avis, the organization has been able to focus on building mentoring and supportive relationships that advance the artistic and personal interests of youth, residents, families, emerging and established artists in southwest Detroit. Events include Blackbook Sessions, Open Studio community arts workshops, Blessing of The Lowriders, Breakdancing Classes. and a variety of other community events. Collaboration with other artists and organizations have all helped toward these ends, year round, in an enhanced way with on-site restrooms, temperature control, and other amenities of indoor space.
