Mission

The mission of Clothes To Kids of Denver is to provide new and quality used clothing to students from low-income or in-crisis families in the Denver Metro Area, free of charge.

About

In 2019, CTKD distributed 10,356 wardrobes and 30,733 pounds of extra items, with 94 percent of shoppers selecting a complete wardrobe (all 21 non-optional pieces). As of December 31, 2019, CTKD had provided 64,305 wardrobes since its founding in 2008. To be eligible for clothing from CTKD, students must live in Metro Denver, be enrolled in grades preschool-12 or pursuing a GED (21 years old and younger), and be in need of assistance. Students automatically qualify to shop at CTKD if they qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch (FRL), if they attend a school where 70% or more of students qualify for FRL or if they are in foster or kinship care. In the 11-county Denver Metro Area, more than 204,000 students qualify for FRL. Our hope is that when students feel comfortable and confident in the classroom, they will be better able to focus on their studies and fit in with their peers. Without CTKD, thousands of Denver children would go without appropriate school clothing and basics each year.
