The 11th annual Tucson Festival of Books was held March 2nd and 3rd, 2019 on the University of Arizona campus. Authors, exhibitors and book lovers of all kinds attended the Festival which attracted approximately 140,000 people to the UA campus and raised $165,200 to advance literacy and education in Southern Arizona. The 2019 Festival attracted more than 550 authors (presenting and indie), 330 exhibitors and staged a multitude of activities: hundreds of presentations and discussions; workshops for aspiring authors; book signings; free book give-away distribution of 6,000 titles in the Childrens area; dozens of hands-on activities were conducted in Science City; and much, much more. More than 2,000 volunteers helped present the festival during the three-day public event and 200 volunteers worked year round to plan it. Major partners in presenting the festival include the University of Arizona, the Arizona Daily Star, Tucson Medical Center, The Stocker Foundation, The Western National Parks Association, The Marshall Foundation and the William and Mary Ross Foundation.
