Local First Arizona (LFA) builds equitable systems for Arizona’s local businesses and communities that create a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable Arizona economy by strengthening, supporting, and celebrating entrepreneurship, rural and urban community development, racial equity, environmental action, and food access. LFA uses a multi-pronged approach to solve several of Arizona's most critical economic issues. THE FUERZA LOCAL PROGRAM PROVIDES BUSINESS EDUCATION TO LOW-INCOME, SPANISH-SPEAKING RESIDENTS AND GROWING LATINO BUSINESSES WITHIN SPECIFIC TARGET NEIGHBORHOODS TO SUPPORT NEEDED COMMUNITY BUSINESSES FOOD MARKETS, DAYCARE CENTERS, PLUMBERS, ETC.. ADDITIONALLY, THE PURPOSE EXTENDS TO PROVIDING NEW EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR RESIDENTS WITHIN THESE TARGET NEIGHBORHOODS SO THEY CAN LIVE-WORK-PLAY WHERE THEIR FAMILIES ALREADY HAVE COMMUNITY TIES.
