IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SAFE WATER AND SUSTAINABLE HYGIENE INITIATIVE, WESTERN WATER AND SANITATION FORUM, AFRICA SAND DAM FOUNDATION AND FRIENDS OF TIMOTHY FOUNDATION, THE WATER PROJECT CO-DEVELOPED AND STRENGTHENED WATER, HYGIENE AND SANITATION PROGRAMS RESULTING IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW DRILLED AND HAND-DUG WELLS, REHABILITATION OF BROKEN WELLS, PROTECTION OF SPRINGS AND CONSTRUCTION OF SUBSURFACE DAMS, RAINWATER HARVESTING TANKS, LATRINES AND HANDWASHING STATIONS IN KENYA. IN 2018, 262 NEW PROJECTS WERE IMPLEMENTED. ALL PROGRAMS INCLUDE COMMUNITY VETTING AND ENGAGEMENT, HYGIENE TRAINING, WATER PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION, POST-CONSTRUCTION COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, MULTI-YEAR MONITORING/EVALUATION AND MAINTENANCE/REPAIR INITIATIVES.
